How do I adopt a dog or cat from Marion County Animal Control?

Submit the Adoption Application

Complete the Adoption Application online for the animal you are interested in.

Sign the Adoption Contract, once approved

If your application is approved, the shelter will have you sign the Adoption Contract to finalize the adoption. This form is only for applicants who have already been approved.

Visit in person

You can also come to 853 Woods Ln., Centralia, IL 62801 any day of the week, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, to meet animals in person. Meeting an animal face to face is the best way to know whether it is a good fit for your home.
